DAVID HUFFMAN is a Bay Area based painter, installation artist and educator based in Oakland. He explores ideas about identity, cultural trauma and social relationships through his paintings, performance ad sculptures that revolve around the symbolism of basketball and the space program.

David's works are included in the permanent collections of the SFMOMA, LACMA, Oakland Museum, Studio Museum in Harlem. He has had solo shows at Jessica Silverman Gallery, Mile McEnery, MOAD in San Francisco, deYoung, to name a few. David is a beloved Associate Professor of the Painting and Drawing Program at California College of the Arts.
